Wonderfully comfortable without any need for added outfitting. The ratchet adjusted back-band, ratchet adjusted seat contour, and adjustable bulkhead make it easy to configure this boat to your body. The secondary stability will take care of you as a beginner and the overall design is great for stepping up to bigger water (I did up to class IV rapids with it)
Solid boat (especially the medium size) that may be slightly heavier, due to the enhanced comfort of the outfitting. As a result, this boat is more comfortable for paddling long distances than carrying for a long distance. This is a proven boat design and you cannot really go wrong with a mamba – easy to roll, easy to learn in, easy to turn, reasonably fast can be quite playful on waves with the rails on the planing hull, and will keep you safe while not too challenging for someone that is just starting out or looking to get onto bigger water
